Darwin's Forehead is a contemporary evolution of the English Porter, characterized by a sophisticated interplay between traditional toasted malts and a subtle saline enhancement. The visual presentation is deep and inviting, leading into an aroma rich with toasted bread, milk chocolate, and soft nuttiness. On the palate, the use of brown malt provides a core of biscuity sweetness and toffee, while a delicate addition of salt serves to amplify the caramel notes and provide a savory roundness. Despite a slightly elevated alcohol content for the style, it remains balanced by earthy hops and a smooth, creamy finish that lingers with a touch of cocoa.

Appearance. Deep brown in color with distinct ruby highlights when held to the light. Features a moderate, light-tan head with good retention and fine-beaded lacing; clarity is good but may appear opaque in the glass.
