Leveraging Citra Cryo and Mosaic Cryo alongside Nelson Sauvin, the profile erupts with intense tropical notes of passionfruit, mango, and crushed white grapes. A base of Pilsner malt and multi oats, bolstered by the addition of lactose, creates a velvety, pillowy texture that carries the high hop intensity without harshness. The LAIII yeast ensures a clean, slightly fruity backdrop, allowing the nuanced, sunny character of the modern hop profile to shine through a creamy, lingering finish that balances its 8.5% ABV with remarkable smoothness.
Appearance. Straw to deep gold (SRM 4-6). Features a persistent, dense, white foam head with significant lacing. Characterized by a pronounced, opaque haze consistent with the heavy use of oats.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of passionfruit, mango, and citrus zest from Citra Cryo and Mosaic Cryo, complemented by the gooseberry and white wine esters of Nelson Sauvin. Background notes of sweet, grainy malt and a hint of vanilla-like creaminess from lactose are present. Fermentation is clean with very light stone fruit esters.
Taste. A complex hop explosion of tropical fruit, melon, and berry flavors. Initial malt sweetness is supportive and soft, showcasing grainy Pilsner malt and a creamy lactose sweetness. Bitterness is moderately high but remains smooth and rounded rather than harsh. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering hop resin character and a soft, clean aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full, creamy body driven by the multi oats and lactose additions. Carbonation is moderate. Displays a gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth without being solventy. Exceptional smoothness with no hop-derived astringency.
