Snake Dog is a quintessentially bold American IPA that exemplifies the West Coast style through its aggressive hop profile. A heavy-handed addition of Citra and Mosaic hops drives a vibrant sensory experience defined by bright orange zest and succulent tropical fruit. This fruit-forward opening is balanced by the sharp, resinous pine notes and slightly-piney crispness contributed by Simcoe and Columbus. Bittering duties are expertly handled by Warrior, ensuring a clean, potent snap that lingers into a crisp, dry finish. Subtle, grainy malt supports the intense lupulin character without intruding, creating a complex, punchy ale with a refreshing citrus-forward superpower.

Appearance. Deep gold to light amber in color (8-10 SRM). Displays excellent clarity with a medium-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of orange peel, mango, and passionfruit, backed by resinous pine and a hint of dank earthiness. Low, clean, grainy malt sweetness provides a neutral foundation, with a very light, clean fermentation profile.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of citrus and tropical fruit flavors. High hop bitterness is firm but not harsh, supported by a medium-low bready malt character with a faint hint of caramel. The mid-palate reveals resinous pine and spicy undertones. The finish is decidedly dry and crisp with a lingering, hoppy, and bitter aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a smooth, slightly oily texture from the heavy hop oils. Moderate to high carbonation provides a refreshing bite. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present at 7.1% ABV, with no astringency.
