This Double IPA presents a lush, intensely aromatic profile driven by a heavy-handed combination of Strata, Citra, and El Dorado hops. The aroma is dominated by a tropical melange of passion fruit and grapefruit, accented by hints of strawberry and stone fruit. On the palate, the hop-forward character transitions into juicy melon and citrus flavors, supported by a neutral, grainy malt backbone that allows the hops to shine. Despite its massive body and significant 8% ABV, the beer maintains a smooth, drinkable quality with a firm but well-integrated bitterness. The finish is clean and lingering, emphasizing a complex, resinous fruit character.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange; moderate haze with a persistent, creamy white head that leaves significant lacing.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma; prominent notes of passion fruit and strawberry from the Strata hops, layered with grapefruit and lime from Citra. Background notes of tropical stone fruit and candy-like watermelon from El Dorado. Clean, neutral malt and low fruity esters.

Taste. Initial punch of tropical and citrus hop flavors; high bitterness that is firm but lacks harshness. Clean, supportive malt with no significant caramel. Flavors of melon and passion fruit linger through a medium-dry, resinous finish.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, velvety texture. Moderate carbonation provides lift. A soft, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, reflecting the 8% ABV without being solventy.
