Floc

This English IPA provides a modern sensory bridge between classic structure and New World aromatics. At 7% ABV, it offers a sturdy foundation of bready and biscuity malts that support a sophisticated hop profile. The inclusion of Nelson Sauvin brings distinctive notes of white wine and crushed gooseberry, while Motueka adds a bright lime zest and Galaxy introduces a layer of intense passionfruit. The result is a well-attenuated ale where the assertive bitterness is balanced by a subtle toffee-like malt depth. It concludes with a very dry, lingering finish that highlights the unique tropical and vinous qualities of the Southern Hemisphere hops.

Appearance. Color is deep gold to pale amber (approx. 8 SRM). Displays a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with fine lacing. Clarity is clear to brilliant, though a very slight haze may be present from dry-hop polyphenols.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring white grape, gooseberry, and lime citrus, with tropical passionfruit undertones. Malt character is medium-low, presenting as toasted bread and light biscuit. Moderate fruity esters and a clean, low alcohol note are present.

Taste. Initial hop-forward impression of citrus and tropical fruit. Hop flavors of lime and vinous grape lead into a firm, assertive bitterness (approx. 50-60 IBU). Malt provides a medium-low bready and slightly toasty support. The finish is very dry with a lingering, crisp bitterness that remains smooth and never harsh.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, well-attenuated texture. Carbonation is medium-high, contributing to a crisp and dry sensation. A low, smooth alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its 7% strength.
