Midnight Disco is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases the distinctive terpene profiles of New Zealand hops. Featuring a 2024 crop of Nelson Sauvin, Rakau, and Motueka from Freestyle, the sensory experience is led by punchy aromas of crushed gooseberry and ripe apricot. On the palate, the beer transitions into a lush, juicy profile defined by zesty lime and tropical sweetness. The interaction between the high-protein grain bill and New World hops creates a soft, pillowy texture. Expect a refined balance where the bright citrus flavors from Motueka harmonize with the stone fruit depth of Rakau, finishing with a clean, low-bitterness character.

Appearance. Pours a pale straw to light gold (4-6 SRM) with a deep, uniform opacity that creates a characteristic hazy shine. Topped with a thick, meringue-like white head that demonstrates high retention and leaves dense lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with complex layers of white wine-like gooseberry from the Nelson Sauvin, followed by soft apricot and stone fruit notes from the Rakau. A bright, zesty lime character from Motueka provides a citrus peak. Malt is subtle and bready in the background with neutral fermentation esters.

Taste. Initial impression is highly juicy and fruit-forward. Dominant flavors of lime zest and tropical fruit lead into a mid-palate of sweet apricot. Bitterness is low to moderate, well-integrated and never harsh. Malt provides a supportive grainy-sweet foundation. The finish is off-dry and smooth with a lingering, complex citrus aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, creamy, and pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth mouthfeel without any harsh carbonic bite. Alcohol warmth is light and well-hidden, while astringency is absent.
