A captivating beer-wine hybrid, Flügge Röik beautifully bridges the worlds of brewing and winemaking. Fermented with a 2020 Riesling grape must from winemaker Daniel Mattern, this Grape Ale presents a dry, brilliantly elegant sensory profile. Vibrant aromas of green apple, ripe peach, and soft floral undertones meld seamlessly with a clean, low-intensity pale malt backbone. The palate is defined by the expressive white wine character of the Riesling grape, delivering bright stone fruit flavors and a refreshing, subtle tartness. Effervescent and remarkably crisp, it finishes bone-dry, mimicking a fine sparkling wine with a touch of sophisticated rustic charm.

Appearance. Pale straw to golden color with brilliant clarity. Pours with a moderate white head of medium-low retention that quickly recedes to a thin collar, leaving minimal lacing.

Aroma. Moderate to high intensity. Prominent white wine aromatics driven by the grape addition, featuring notes of green apple, white peach, pear, and delicate floral blossoms. The underlying pale malt is supportive, yielding light cracker-like sweetness, complemented by clean fermentation esters and no perceptible hop aroma.

Taste. Crisp and intensely dry initial impression. Flavor showcases the white grape character with stone fruit, white currant, and a touch of minerality. Malt flavors are very low and cracker-like. Hop bitterness is low, allowing a mild, refreshing vinous tartness to balance the sip. Finishes exceedingly dry, clean, and refreshing, with lingering fruit notes.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation, creating an effervescent, sparkling texture. Exceedingly dry and crisp finish with a gentle, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
