Flügge Jorke is a refreshingly bright session-strength Saison that marries rustic farmhouse tradition with modern hop character. Fermented with the expressive Blaugies yeast, it delivers a complex profile of peppery spice and stone fruit. The addition of Callista hops enhances this fruity depth with notes of apricot and subtle berries, while a mild lactic sourness provides a crisp, mouth-watering acidity. Very highly attenuated and effervescent, the beer remains light on the palate with a grainy malt foundation and a bone-dry finish. It is an exceptionally drinkable example of a contemporary, mildly soured Belgian-style ale.
Appearance.Pale straw color; hazy appearance due to being unfiltered; persistent, dense, rocky white head with fine Belgian lacing.
Aroma.Moderate intensity featuring stone fruit esters like peach and apricot, complemented by spicy black pepper phenols. A subtle, clean lactic sourness mingles with floral and citrus hop notes over a light, crackery malt base.
Taste.Initial tartness provides a refreshing zing, followed by flavors of stone fruit and lemon zest. The yeast contributes a mid-palate peppery spice. Low hop bitterness is offset by the mild acidity. The finish is exceptionally dry and clean, with a lingering rustic grain character.
Mouthfeel.Light body; high carbonation providing an effervescent, prickly sensation; very light alcohol warmth; crisp and refreshing with no astringency.
