Fischer Blonde Tradition is a robust interpretation of a German Pils, elevated by its 6% ABV and the distinct character of Alsatian hops. This bottom-fermented lager presents a brilliant golden hue, offering an inviting bouquet where floral and slightly fruity hop notes intertwine with the scent of ripe cereal grains. On the palate, the influence of the Alsatian hops provides a harmonious balance between refined bitterness and aromatic complexity. The foundation of barley malt delivers a smooth, bready sweetness that yields to a clean, crisp finish, embodying a sophisticated Alsatian take on the classic pale bitter lager.
Appearance. Limpid, brilliant golden-blonde (4-5 SRM). Pours with a creamy, white, moderately persistent head leaving light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity. Clean, grainy-sweet malt scent reminiscent of ripe cereals and cracked grain. Prominent hop aroma featuring floral, herbal, and subtle spicy notes characteristic of Alsatian hops, with a faint suggestion of stone fruit. Very clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial flavors of bready, sweet barley malt and golden grain. Bitterness is moderate and well-structured, quickly balancing the malt. Hop flavors are floral and slightly earthy. The finish is crisp and dry with a lingering, elegant hop bitterness and a touch of honeyed malt in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body, slightly fuller than a standard pilsner due to the higher alcohol content. Moderate to high carbonation provides a refreshing, prickly sensation. Exhibits a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth. Smooth and not astringent.
