This American IPA delivers a classic West Coast experience with a bold, modern hop profile. Intense aromatics of grapefruit and resinous pine from Centennial and Columbus lead the charge, quickly joined by layers of tropical passion fruit and ripe strawberry courtesy of Strata. The palate is defined by a firm, clean bitterness that cuts through a lean, grainy malt base, allowing the vibrant notes of pineapple and stone fruit from El Dorado to shine. It finishes exceptionally dry and crisp, leaving a lingering trail of citrus peel and dank herbal notes. It is a potent, high-ABV expression that balances pungent resin with bright, multifaceted fruit.
Appearance. Deep gold to light amber with brilliant clarity. Pours with a thick, persistent white head that leaves intricate lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent grapefruit, floral blossoms, and a pungent, dank, resinous character. Complementary notes of passion fruit, strawberry, and tropical mango are evident. Malt is low and clean, providing a neutral bready background.
Taste. Firm to aggressive hop bitterness. Hop flavors of citrus zest, pine, and pineapple dominate, supported by a low, grainy malt character. Minimal caramel sweetness. The fermentation is clean, leading into a very dry finish with a long, resinous, and fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, crisp texture. High carbonation. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is noticeable but smooth, with no astringency.
