This 2025 edition of the signature Imperial Stout presents an opulent, sensory-heavy experience defined by its maturation in bourbon casks. An indulgent profile of chocolate ganache and rich espresso dominates the palate, driven by the generous addition of cacao and vanilla. The barrel influence introduces sophisticated layers of toasted oak and burnt sugar that interweave with the dense malt backbone. At 12.5% ABV, the beer remains remarkably velvet-smooth, balancing intense roasted grain bitterness with a luxurious, lingering sweetness. It is a harmonious marriage of spirit-forward complexity and deep, confectionery-like decadence, offering a warming and profoundly viscous finish.

Appearance. Opaque jet black (40+ SRM) with a thick, creamy, deep tan head. Low to moderate retention is offset by high viscosity, leaving prominent legs on the glass as the beer is swirled.

Aroma. High intensity and multi-layered. Primary notes of bittersweet cocoa, roasted espresso beans, and vanilla bean. The bourbon barrel contribution is clear, offering toasted oak and caramel. Subtle esters of dried prunes and black currants emerge as it warms, alongside a clean, smooth alcohol presence.
