Fierce Beer Bourbon Barrel Aged 2023 Reserve 90/- Scotch Ale is a rich, malt-forward expression of a Wee Heavy, elevated by maturation in bourbon casks. It pours a clear, deep copper with a creamy off-white head. The aroma is intense, led by layers of caramel, toffee, and toasted breadcrumbs, seamlessly integrated with bourbon-derived vanilla, coconut, and charred oak. On the palate, a thick, sugary sweetness of English biscuits and golden syrup meets dark fruit esters and woody tannins. The 8.4% ABV delivers a smooth, noticeable warmth, supporting a full, velvety mouthfeel that finishes with a refined, slightly roasty dryness.

Appearance. Deep copper to dark brown color. Clear with a low to moderate, creamy off-white head that leaves light lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High malt intensity with rich caramel, toffee, and toasted graham cracker notes. Prominent bourbon barrel character including vanilla and toasted oak. Low pome fruit esters and no hop aroma.
