This Double IPA presents a vibrant, hop-forward profile driven by a concentrated focus on Citra. High-intensity aromas of zesty grapefruit, lime peel, and tropical mango dominate, complemented by a subtle resinous pine and berry undertone from the Simcoe additions. A streamlined grain bill provides a clean, neutral backdrop of pale malt and cracker, ensuring the hops remain the central focal point. The palate follows the nose, offering a burst of citrus oil and stone fruit balanced by a firm, clean bitterness. Its dry finish and integrated 7.9% ABV make it remarkably drinkable, characteristic of the style’s emphasis on hop saturation without heavy malt interference.

Appearance. Straw to pale gold (6 SRM). Excellent clarity with a moderate, persistent, bright white head that leaves significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit, tangerine, and passionfruit from the Citra, with a light resinous and piney backing from the Simcoe. Low, neutral, grainy-sweet malt character. Clean fermentation profile with no diacetyl or sulfur.

Taste. Initial hop-forward impact of citrus zest and tropical fruit. Malt flavor is low and supportive, reminiscent of fresh cracker. Hop bitterness is moderately high but clean and devoid of harshness, providing a firm balance. The finish is dry to medium-dry with a lingering hop-derived citrus aftertaste. Neutral fermentation character.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is medium-high. Very light, integrated alcohol warmth is present but restrained. No hop-derived astringency.
