This Double IPA showcases a vibrant, tropical-forward sensory profile, elevated by the addition of fresh pineapple and natural flavors. Building upon the foundational Jasper recipe, which highlights the punchy citrus and mango notes of Citra and Mosaic hops, this expression delivers an intense aromatic bouquet of ripened fruit and resinous pine. The pineapple integrates seamlessly, adding a succulent sweetness that complements the 7.8% ABV without becoming cloying. A soft, doughy malt backbone provides a neutral canvas for the assertive hop character and fruit, resulting in a balanced yet bold experience that finishes with a clean, lingering bitterness characteristic of a modern strong ale.

Appearance. Deep gold to pale orange (approx. 7 SRM) with a significant, opaque haze typical of modern interpretations. Crowning the pour is a dense, creamy, off-white head with excellent retention and intricate lacing.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics lead with explosive fresh pineapple and tropical esters. Secondary notes of grapefruit zest, crushed blueberries, and ripe mango from the Citra and Mosaic hop blend are supported by a faint, clean, crackery malt presence and a hint of resin. No solventy alcohol is present.

Taste. The palate is dominated by succulent pineapple and citrus pith. A moderately high hop bitterness provides structure, cutting through the juice-like fruit flavors. Mid-palate reveals soft bready malt and a hint of resinous pine. The finish is medium-dry and crisp, leaving a lingering impression of tropical fruit and clean hop bitterness without harshness.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate to high, providing a refreshing lift to the fruit-forward profile. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, without any astringency.
