Hazeboyz is an ambitious Wild Specialty Beer that fuses the punchy character of a New England IPA with the tartness of a fruited sour. The sensory profile is dominated by a heavy double dry hop of Citra, which contributes layers of bright grapefruit, lime, and a distinct resinous dankness. Fermentation with a New England style yeast adds a backdrop of stone fruit esters, while a lactic sour base provides a sharp, refreshing acidity. The addition of vanilla and fruit creates a creamy, pastry-like sweetness that expertly balances the tartness and hop bitterness, resulting in a lush and multi-dimensional profile.

Appearance. Deep golden to pale orange with an opaque, heavy haze. Features a thick, off-white head with moderate retention and light, soapy lacing.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics of grapefruit and tropical fruit from the Citra hops, paired with a pungent, dank herbal note. Clean lactic acidity is layered with creamy vanilla, sweet fruit, and prominent stone fruit esters from the yeast.

Taste. Initial impression is a sharp, clean tartness quickly followed by juicy tropical fruit and citrus hop flavors. Citra provides a resinous, citrusy punch against a low to moderate bitterness. Vanilla imparts a smooth, pastry-like sweetness that rounds out the acidity. The finish is complex, featuring a lingering blend of tart fruit and sweet creaminess.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a noticeable creaminess and smooth texture from the vanilla and yeast. Moderate carbonation with negligible alcohol warmth. No significant hop astringency.
