Despite its potent 9.5% ABV, the beer maintains high drinkability through a lean, grainy malt profile and a clean fermentation. The palate is defined by a firm, assertive bitterness that balances a hint of toasted malt before finishing bone-dry. It is a powerful, unapologetic expression of hop intensity, showcasing a sophisticated balance between strength and refreshing clarity.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale copper with brilliant clarity. Topped by a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring heavy resin, fresh pine needles, and bright citrus peel. A subtle, clean, bready malt background supports the hops, accompanied by a faint, smooth alcohol presence and light fruity esters.
Taste. High, firm bitterness that is assertive but never harsh. Flavors of grapefruit, resin, and spice lead the way, supported by a neutral, slightly grainy malt character. The finish is very dry and clean, with a long, lingering hop-derived bitterness and a soft alcohol warmth.
