Fehér Nyúl Backstage Vol.1 is a vibrant Hazy IPA crafted through community collaboration, showcasing the synergy between El Dorado and Mosaic hops. The sensory experience is dominated by a saturated tropical profile, where El Dorado contributes luscious notes of pineapple and stone fruit, while Mosaic adds layers of ripe berries and citrus zest. A soft, pillowy malt base provides a grainy, bready foundation that supports the intense hop oils without adding cloying sweetness. This beer epitomizes the juicy character of the style, offering a smooth, opaque presentation and a restrained bitterness that highlights the complex biotransformation of its New World hop varieties.
Appearance. Straw to light amber with a deep, opaque haze that creates a characteristic shine. Features a thick, rocky, meringue-like white head with high retention and substantial lacing.
Aroma. High intensity aroma featuring a tropical punch of pineapple and mango from the El Dorado hops, complemented by Mosaic’s signature blueberry and tangerine notes. A light, bready, grainy malt backbone supports the hops, while clean fruity esters enhance the overall juicy impression.
Taste. Explosive flavors of stone fruit, melon, and citrus. The El Dorado hops lead with a candy-like fruitiness, followed by Mosaic’s complex berry and citrus undertones. Bitterness is moderate and soft, never harsh. The finish is off-dry and emphasizes lingering hop oils rather than malt, with no toast or caramel character.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky, and smooth texture typical of the style. Carbonation is moderate. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present, with no astringency or raw starch texture.
