Appearance. Medium gold (SRM 6) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a persistent, medium-sized white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring a complex blend of tropical passion fruit, white wine grapes, and bright pink grapefruit. Subtle notes of crushed pine needles and lychee emerge as the head settles. The malt character is low and clean, reminiscent of fresh cracker. Fermentation is clean with no perceptible esters.
Taste. The initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit and citrus oils, specifically mango and grapefruit from the Citra and pineapple from the Vic Secret. Nelson contributes a sophisticated dry white wine and gooseberry note in the mid-palate. Bitterness is firm and clean, balancing the light, bready malt. The finish is dry and crisp with a lingering hoppy aftertaste of citrus zest and light resin.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a refreshing prickle on the tongue. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present without any harshness or astringency.
