This vibrant American IPA showcases a sophisticated hop-forward profile, amplified by double dry-hopping. The sensory experience is lead by the bright grapefruit and tropical fruit notes of Citra and Simcoe, while Centennial and Chinook contribute layers of floral spice and resinous pine. Subtle melon from Cashmere and lime-zest characteristics from Cryo Ekuanot elevate the aromatic complexity. A lean, clean malt backbone provides necessary structure without competing, allowing the diverse hop oils to remain the focus. The result is a modern ale that balances firm bitterness with a crisp, dry finish, epitomizing the aromatic intensity of a well-crafted contemporary IPA.
Appearance. Medium gold (7 SRM) with a slight, yeast-laden haze from dry-hopping. Crowned by a medium-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with dominant notes of grapefruit, mango, and pine resin. Clean, low grainy-sweet maltiness is present in the background. Fermentation is clean with very low fruity esters.
Taste. Strong hop flavors of citrus zest, tropical stone fruit, and resinous herbs. Medium-high bitterness is firm and clean, not harsh. Low grainy-crackery malt flavor provides a supportive base. The balance is heavily hop-forward, leading to a dry, crisp finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, almost creamy texture. Moderate carbonation. Very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth with no hop-derived astringency.
