This massive Imperial Stout is a decadent sensory experience, defined by its high-gravity 14% ABV and a complex layering of adjuncts. The aroma is dominated by freshly roasted coffee and rich vanilla beans, complemented by the tropical, nutty sweetness of raw and toasted coconut. Maple syrup adds a luscious, woody depth that integrates seamlessly with the dark malt base. On the palate, deep layers of bittersweet chocolate and espresso emerge, supported by a velvety, viscous texture. This collaboration delivers a harmonious yet intense profile where the significant sweetness is balanced by roasted grain and a smooth, warming alcohol finish.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (40+ SRM). It pours with a thick, persistent deep tan to mocha-colored head. High viscosity and alcohol content result in visible legs clinging to the sides of the glass.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant notes of dark roasted coffee and sweet vanilla beans are primary. Layers of coconut—both oily-raw and nutty-toasted—intertwine with rich maple syrup. The base malt provides scents of dark chocolate and black licorice, accompanied by a clean, warming alcohol presence and low esters of dried plum.

Taste. The initial impression is intensely rich and sweet. Bold flavors of dark chocolate and espresso are front and center. Toasted coconut and vanilla create a macaroon-like quality, while maple syrup provides a lingering, earthy sweetness. Perceived bitterness is moderate, providing enough structure to balance the thick malt body. The finish is long and warming with a bittersweet roasted grain aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied with a chewy, viscous, and motor-oil-like consistency. Carbonation is low to moderate. Significant alcohol warmth is present but remains smooth and well-integrated. The texture is exceptionally velvety, creamy, and coating without being cloying.
