This West Coast IPA presents a modern, lean profile built on a crisp foundation of premium Pilsner malt, which provides a clean, cracker-like graininess. The aroma is dominated by a vibrant interplay of Nelson, Citra, and Simcoe hops, offering a complex bouquet of white wine grapes, gooseberry, and bright grapefruit pith grounded by earthy pine resins. On the palate, the bitterness is firm but clean, highlighting tropical notes of passionfruit and mango. The finish is remarkably dry and snappy, allowing the nuanced hop oils to linger without being obscured by malt sweetness, resulting in a refreshing and aromatically intense drinking experience.
Appearance. Medium gold with brilliant clarity; features a medium-sized, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of white wine, gooseberry, grapefruit, and resinous pine; very low clean, grainy maltiness with a neutral fermentation profile.
Taste. Prominent hop flavors of citrus, passionfruit, and crushed grapes; medium-high bitterness that is firm but not harsh; low grainy malt sweetness; very dry finish with a lingering hoppy, resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture; moderate-high carbonation; very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and no astringency.
