This German Pils variant is impeccably clean and highly attenuated, delivering a firm, refreshing bitterness that cuts through the light malt sweetness. The experience concludes with a bone-dry, minerally finish that invites another sip, epitomizing the crisp, hop-forward character of the style.
Appearance. 3 SRM. Brilliant straw gold with exceptional clarity. Topped by a dense, creamy white head with excellent retention and intricate lacing.
Aroma. Moderate-high intensity. Leading with floral and spicy Saphir hops, accented by notes of tangerine and dried herbs. The malt presents a clean, grainy-sweet character with hints of honey and toasted cracker. Very clean fermentation profile without esters.
Taste. Initial doughy and grainy malt flavors are quickly overtaken by a prominent hop bitterness. Flavors of herbal spice and soft citrus from the Saphir hops predominate. Bitterness is firm and clean, lingering into a refreshing, dry finish. The Eraclea Pilsner malt provides a supporting bready sweetness that balances the hop-forward profile.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, snappy texture. Carbonation is medium-high, contributing to a lively and refreshing mouthfeel. No alcohol warmth or astringency present.
