Eterna NEIPA presents a vibrant orange, turbid appearance crowned by a persistent, creamy foam. This collaboration features a robust Maris Otter malt base that provides a subtle bready foundation for an explosion of tropical fruit. High-intensity aromas of mango and passion fruit dominate the nose, driven by the massive addition of hop hash and pellets. On the palate, the Giga yeast facilitates a remarkably creamy mouthfeel. Despite the saturated hop character, the bitterness remains soft and restrained, allowing lush tropical notes to linger through a smooth, fruit-forward finish that deviates from the sharp edges of a traditional American IPA.
Appearance. Orange (approx. 9 SRM). Turbid and hazy with a dense, creamy, white, persistent head and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent tropical fruit notes of mango and passion fruit. A resinous, concentrated hop hash character is present. Low, bready-sweet maltiness from the Maris Otter base supports the fruit without competing. Clean fermentation with very light esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a wash of tropical fruit, specifically mango and passion fruit. Medium-low bitterness provides a soft balance to the hop saturation. The Maris Otter malt adds a lightly toasted, biscuit-like flavor. The finish is smooth and fruit-forward with a lingering tropical aftertaste and minimal harshness.
