Back To The West is a definitive West Coast IPA that presents a striking reddish-amber hue. The sensory profile is driven by a powerful hop quartet: Centennial and Cascade provide bright bursts of clementine and fresh grapefruit, while Simcoe and Columbus contribute a deep, resinous pine and an earthy, herbal complexity. A sophisticated malt bill featuring Golden Promise and Crystal malts offers a subtle toasted caramel backbone that supports the aggressive bitterness without cloying. The addition of flaked oats and rye lends a smooth, structured mouthfeel to an otherwise crisp and decidedly dry palate, finishing with a lingering, clean hop bite.

Appearance. Medium reddish-amber with golden reflections; translucent with a slight haze. Features a firm, creamy, ocher-tinted head with excellent persistence and lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by citrus (grapefruit, clementine) and resinous pine. Low supporting maltiness characterized by toasted caramel and a faint grainy sweetness. Clean fermentation profile with negligible esters.

Taste. High hop flavor of citrus zest and resin, evolving into a sharp, earthy, and herbal character. Strong bitterness that is firm and clean. Low malt flavors of toasted bread and light caramel provide balance. The finish is very dry and refreshing with a lingering hoppy aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Moderate carbonation and a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth. No perceptible astringency.
