This collaboration between Espiga and Burial Beer Co. is a lush, hazy Double IPA defined by a heavy-handed double dry-hop treatment of Citra and Simcoe. Built upon a complex grain bill of Pilsner and Low Colour Maris Otter with a significant addition of flaked oats and wheat, the beer offers a deep yellowish hue and a velvety, silky texture. High-intensity aromas of ripe mango, peach, and bright citrus lead into a palate saturated with tropical fruit and delicate white fruit esters from the New England yeast. A well-integrated alcohol warmth emerges on the finish, providing a gentle glow that balances the soft, persistent bitterness.

Appearance. Yellowish-gold (4-6 SRM) with a significant, creamy white head that shows excellent persistence and lacing. The beer is distinctly hazy to opaque, consistent with its heavy oat and wheat protein content.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of fresh mango, ripe peach, and grapefruit zest from the Citra and Simcoe. Soft white fruit esters—reminiscent of pear and melon—from the New England yeast complement a low, grainy-sweet malt backdrop of Pilsner and wheat.

Taste. Initial hop-forward impression of tropical fruit and stone fruit follows the aroma. The malt flavor is supportive and soft, showcasing a crackery, bready character from Low Colour Maris Otter. Hop bitterness is firm but smooth, lacking harshness. The finish is medium-dry with lingering citrus peel and a clean, integrated alcohol presence.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably silky, creamy texture attributed to the flaked oats and wheat. Carbonation is moderate. A noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth is present, reflecting the 9.5% ABV without being solventy.
