Appearance. Translucent gold (3-4 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a creamy, long-lasting white head with excellent retention and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by Nelson Sauvin's signature white grape, gooseberry, and freshly mown grass. Supported by a medium-low, clean, bready-crackery malt backbone. Fermentation character is neutral with no sulfur or esters present.
Taste. Initial impression is bright and hop-forward. Prominent flavors of white wine grapes and clementine lead into a mid-palate of grassy fields and a distinctive touch of white pepper. Malt flavor is medium-low and bready, providing just enough support for the firm bitterness. The balance is hop-centric, leading to a very dry, crisp, and clean finish with a lingering fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with medium-high carbonation that provides a refreshing prickle. Notable for its smoothness and lack of astringency. No alcohol warmth is perceived.
