Maple Whip is a decadent Imperial Stout that artfully translates the layers of a maple-filled chocolate cookie into a liquid experience. This viscous beer leads with a luxurious aroma of dark cacao nibs and rich maple syrup, evoking the comforts of autumn. On the palate, it delivers a complex dessert profile of maple chocolate cake topped with vanilla-tinged marshmallow frosting and honeyed graham crackers. Deep notes of brown sugar and caramel candy are tempered by a necessary touch of roasted malt, ensuring the sweetness remains balanced. It is a full-bodied, velvet-textured stout that masterfully integrates its high alcohol into a lingering s'mores-like finish.

Appearance. Jet black and opaque (SRM 40+). Pours with a thick, dark tan head that shows moderate retention. High viscosity and alcohol content are visible as prominent legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant aromas of bittersweet chocolate and rich maple syrup are layered over sweet scents of marshmallow and honeyed graham cracker. A light, toasted malt and subtle coffee-like roastiness provide a sturdy backbone, while hop character and yeast esters remain very low, masked by the specialty ingredients.

Taste. Initial impression is intensely rich and sweet, following the aroma with flavors of maple-dipped s'mores and chocolate cake. The mid-palate reveals marshmallow frosting, brown sugar, and graham cracker. A moderate-low perceived bitterness and a touch of roasted malt balance the high sweetness, preventing it from becoming cloying. The finish is long and sweet with lingering maple and caramel candy notes.

Mouthfeel. Full to very full-bodied with a chewy, viscous, and velvety texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A smooth, noticeable alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated, enhancing the beer's richness without being harsh.
