Lucid Dream Wave is a luminous Double IPA that captures a vivid sensory fantasy through Equilibrium’s Energy Treatment and Other Half’s Dream process. It presents a thick, glowing tangerine hue, emitting an intense bouquet of passion fruit, pineapple, and candied peaches. The heavy dry-hop load of Citra, Amarillo, Galaxy, and El Dorado delivers a complex profile of watermelon candy and creamy tropical fruit. On the palate, a signature melon juice character melds with a soft, lactose-driven sweetness, creating a bright and velvety wave of flavor. This collaboration achieves a dangerously drinkable balance where high hop saturation meets a luscious, creamy finish.
Appearance. Glowing tangerine color (approximately 8-10 SRM). Opaque and heavily hazy with a radiant, saturated appearance. Dense, frothy white head with excellent retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by a complex tropical hop profile featuring passion fruit, pineapple, and stone fruit. Distinguishable notes of candied peaches and cream with a specific watermelon candy sweetness. Very low, clean malt background, largely overshadowed by intense hop-derived fruit esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of bright, tropical melon juice. High hop flavor mirrors the aroma with pineapple, peach, and melon notes. Bitterness is moderate and smooth, avoiding any resinous harshness. A touch of residual sweetness from the addition of lactose provides a peaches-and-cream character. The finish is juicy and clean with a lingering tropical fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notable creaminess and soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth consistent with its strength. Low astringency despite the high hop load.
