This Imperial Stout is an opulent collaboration between Equilibrium and J. Wakefield, crafted as a liquid dessert. The sensory experience begins with a jet-black pour topped by a dense mocha head. Decadent aromas of maple-infused brownie batter and caramel candies lead into a palate saturated with gooey chocolate from Exquisito Chocolates Cacao Nibs and rich maple syrup. The sweetness is expertly countered by a robust backbone of roasty Kinetic Energy Blend Coffee, while marshmallow and lactose contribute a luxurious, velvety texture. Hints of cinnamon-like spice emerge from the specialty ingredients, finishing thick and smooth in a masterful display of harmonious, high-gravity complexity.

Appearance. Jet black (40+ SRM) and opaque. Develops a thick, creamy, mocha-colored head with moderate retention and visible legs due to the high alcohol and viscosity.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of maple-infused brownie batter and caramel chocolate. Significant roasted coffee notes provide a deep base, accompanied by sweet vanilla marshmallow and a touch of dark fruit esters. Alcohol is present but smooth and well-integrated.

Taste. Initial impression is intensely sweet and dessert-like, featuring flavors of chocolate fudge and maple-drenched pancakes. A deep espresso-like roast from the coffee provides essential balance against the marshmallow and lactose. Low hop flavor is eclipsed by the malt and adjuncts.
