This Imperial Stout presents an indulgent sensory experience, pouring a viscous, opaque jet black. The aroma is dominated by high-intensity layers of Hershey syrup and vanilla frosting, underpinned by the deep, earthy richness of Toasted and Raw Biodynamic coconut. On the palate, decadent dark chocolate flavors merge with sweet coconut macaroons and soft marshmallow notes. Despite its intensity, a foundation of roasted malt provides a necessary counterpoint to the heavy sweetness. The finish is long and luxurious, leaving a lingering impression of chocolate and coconut oils against a smooth, warming 11% alcohol backdrop.
Appearance. Jet black (40+ SRM) and completely opaque. It supports a thick, creamy, deep tan head with moderate retention. High viscosity is evident through visible legs on the glass.
Aroma. Intense and complex. Dominant notes of milk chocolate and Hershey syrup are complemented by the dual character of Toasted and Raw Biodynamic coconut. Secondary aromas include vanilla frosting, marshmallow sweetness, and a background of dark roasted coffee and cocoa. No hop aroma is perceptible.
Taste. The initial impression is decadently sweet, featuring prominent flavors of coconut macaroons and vanilla frosting. A rich, chocolate-syrup malt character follows, supported by a moderate roasted bitterness that prevents it from being cloying. The finish is long and indulgent, characterized by chocolate-covered coconut and a clean, integrated alcohol presence.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and exceptionally viscous with a chewy, velvety texture. Carbonation is moderate to low. A smooth, gentle alcohol warmth is noticeable but not harsh, accompanied by a slight oiliness or coconut slick.
