Autochrome is a vibrant Double IPA that captures a technicolor spectrum of tropical intensity. Utilizing Citra, Citra Incognito, Strata, and Eclipse hops, it offers a lush sensory profile that leads with an aromatic explosion of pineapple custard and sweet mandarin orange, underpinned by a mango smoothie richness. The palate is defined by candied lime and a subtle layer of dank earthiness, characteristic of a modern New World hop profile. Despite its 8.3% strength, the beer remains remarkably drinkable with a soft, supportive malt backbone that allows the hop-driven citrus and tropical fruit saturation to remain the focal point.

Appearance. Pale gold to light orange (6-8 SRM). Displays a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing. Clarity is characterized by a soft, luminous haze common in modern interpretations.

Aroma. High intensity featuring prominent tropical fruit notes of mango, pineapple, and sweet orange. A supportive, clean, neutral grainy maltiness sits in the background. The hop character is complex, blending resinous pine and dank earthiness with bright citrus. Fermentation is clean with only subtle fruity esters.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit candy and mandarin. Hop flavor is strong and complex, showcasing lime zest and mango smoothie notes. Bitterness is firm and moderately high but smooth, lacking any harshness. The malt character is low and unobtrusive, providing a soft, crackery base. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering, resinous, and fruity aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, creamy texture. Carbonation is moderate. Features a restrained, smooth alcohol warmth appropriate for its strength, without any hop-derived astringency.
