This Ename Tripel presents a sophisticated monastic profile, characterized by its luminous golden hue and creamy, full-bodied presence. The aroma is high in intensity, revealing a complex bouquet of peach, pomelo, and subtle banana esters layered over a foundation of honeyed barley malt. On the palate, a gentle sweetness is balanced by soft, spicy Belgian yeast phenols and a mild, floral hop bitterness. The bottle refermentation creates a lively effervescence that carries the rich fruit notes through to a long, dry finish, punctuated by a soft alcohol surge. It is a refined example of a traditional Belgian Tripel, balancing strength with elegance.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber (5–7 SRM) with excellent clarity and vibrant effervescence. Topped by a dense, rocky, long-lasting white head that leaves characteristic Belgian lacing on the glass as it fades.
Aroma. High intensity with a complex blend of fruity esters—notably peach and citrus pomelo—and subtle ripe banana. Moderate spicy, peppery phenols merge with a soft, honey-like malt sweetness and a slight mineral touch. Very low floral hop character and a soft, spicy alcohol note.
Taste. Initial impression of rich malt with notes of honey and grain. The mid-palate transitions into fruity peach and spicy Belgian yeast character. Medium bitterness provides balance, though it remains soft. Finishes long and dry with a gentle, warming alcohol presence and a lingering spicy-fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a remarkably creamy, smooth texture. High carbonation provides an effervescent, mouth-filling sensation. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth without harshness or fusel notes.
