This Hazy IPA presents a lush, modern profile driven by a strategic blend of American and New Zealand hops. The use of Citra provides a structural foundation of ripe, sugary citrus, while a massive dry-hopping of Southern Cross introduces complex layers of resinous pine, delicate floral notes, and a distinct honeyed sweetness. At 7.7% ABV, the beer maintains a soft, approachable character, balancing its intense tropical fruit expression against a smooth, velvety grain bill. It is an evocative showcase of global hop synergy, offering a juicy intensity that remains refined and highly drinkable through a lingering, aromatic finish.
Appearance. Deep straw to light orange in color (4–6 SRM) with a characteristic opaque, hazy shine. Features a thick, meringue-like white head with excellent retention and dense lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by ripe citrus, tropical stone fruit, and a resinous evergreen quality. Subtle honeyed and floral notes emerge alongside a neutral, bready malt background and light fruity fermentation esters.
Taste. Massive hop-forward flavors of sweet orange and lime zest from the Citra, complemented by the resinous, floral, and honey-like depth of Southern Cross. Low to moderate bitterness is well-masked by a soft, grainy malt backbone. The finish is off-dry and smooth, lacking any harsh hop burn or astringency.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation and a light, well-integrated alcohol warmth that provides a smooth, satisfying weight without being heavy.
