This Imperial Red IPA presents a bold sensory experience, elevating the style with an intensified, ramped-up profile. A complex hop bouquet led by Citra, Centennial, and Simcoe delivers high-intensity layers of grapefruit, resinous pine, and tropical fruit. These pungent hop notes are set against a robust backbone of caramel and toasted malts, providing a rich, bready sweetness that expertly balances the assertive bitterness. At 8.5% ABV, the beer exhibits a smooth, noticeable warmth that enhances the depth of the specialty malts. The finish remains remarkably balanced, lingering with citrus zest and a firm, resinous snap typical of a Specialty IPA.

Appearance. Deep copper to ruby-red (SRM 15-18); clear with a persistent, off-white to light tan head that leaves significant lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of grapefruit, lemon, and pine from Citra and Centennial, alongside a resinous, earthy depth from Simcoe. Supportive malt notes of rich caramel, toffee, and toasted bread are evident, with a clean fermentation profile and a hint of alcohol.

Taste. Initial impression of sweet caramel and toasted malt quickly overtaken by a powerful hop punch. Flavors of citrus peel, pine resin, and tropical fruit dominate the mid-palate. Bitterness is high and firm but not harsh, balanced by the residual malt sugars. The finish is off-dry with a lingering resinous and citrusy aftertaste.
