Elusive Brewing

This American Pale Ale delivers a classic sensory experience centered on the synergy between Columbus and Citra hops. A brilliant, gold pour introduces an aromatic profile defined by vibrant citrus zest and deep, resinous dankness. The influence of the West Coast Pale malt bill is clear, providing a lean, bready foundation that supports the hops without adding sweetness. On the palate, bright grapefruit and lime notes from the Citra interplay with the earthy, spicy punch of the Columbus, resulting in a firm but clean bitterness. A neutral fermentation ensures a crisp, refreshing finish that lingers with a pleasant, hoppy snap.

Appearance. Pale gold with brilliant clarity. Features a moderately large, frothy white head with good retention and delicate lacing.

Aroma. Moderate-high hop intensity featuring prominent grapefruit, lemon, and tropical fruit from the Citra, balanced by pungent resin, pine, and herbal dankness from the Columbus. Low grainy maltiness with a neutral fermentation profile.

Taste. Hop-forward with flavors of orange peel, grapefruit, and resinous pine. The malt contributes a subtle toasted bread character. Bitterness is moderate to high but stays smooth, leading into a medium-dry, clean finish with lingering citrus oils.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate to high carbonation. Crisp and refreshing with a smooth texture and no alcohol warmth or astringency.
