This Double IPA, a collaborative masterpiece between Elusive, The Kernel, and Burning Sky, delivers a masterclass in hop complexity. The sensory profile is driven by a potent blend of Citra and Simcoe, providing bright notes of pink grapefruit and tropical fruit, while Chinook and Columbus anchor the experience with deep resinous pine and pungent spice. The addition of HBC522 introduces nuances of red berries and stone fruit. Despite its 8% ABV, the beer remains remarkably lean and drinkable, featuring a neutral malt backbone that allows the intense hop saturation to shine through to a crisp, dry, and lingering bitter finish.

Appearance. Gold to light orange-copper (7-10 SRM) with good clarity, though a faint hop haze is present. It supports a moderate-sized, persistent, off-white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring a complex blend of grapefruit, tangerine, and tropical mango alongside heavy resinous pine and herbal spice. Low, clean, grainy maltiness sits in the background, accompanied by a very light alcohol sweetness.

Taste. Strong, multi-layered hop flavors of citrus zest, pine needles, and earthy spice. Bitterness is high but clean and devoid of harshness. Malt is supportive and neutral with a soft cracker-like quality. Finishes dry to medium-dry with a long-lasting, resinous hop aftertaste and a smooth, clean alcohol presence.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from hop oils. Carbonation is medium-high. Provides a restrained, well-integrated alcohol warmth without being hot or solventy.
