Elgood’s Brewery Plum Porter

Elgoods is a family owned brewery housed in the North Brink Brewery in the heart of the fens.  The Brewery was established in 1795 and was one of the first classic Georgian breweries to be built outside of London. Plum Porter is a rich, dark and sweet ruby port with plum overtones. It is an award winning beer that is perfect for the winter months.

This beer is dark strong and well rounded; the richness of such a rotund beer is brought to an even keel by the late addition of Goldings hops and natural plum flavouring. Take the opportunity and go for the low hanging fruit, this sumptuous beer really is a plum!

Di corpo medio e asciutto, al palato risulta rotonda, ricca e corposa. Aroma e gusto sono pervasi da amare note di cacao e malto tostato, perfettamente equilibrate con il profondo aroma fruttato alla prugna. Il finale è secco e persistente, prevalentemente dolce ma con un retrogusto leggermente amaro tipico del luppolo inglese Challenger.
