Potable Gold is a saturated Double IPA that showcases the vibrant synergy of Electric Brewing and Morenos. At 8.5%, it pours a luminous hazy gold, releasing an intense bouquet of white grape and gooseberry from the Nelson CGX, layered with the pungent strawberry and passionfruit notes of Strata. Citra provides a bright citrus backbone of grapefruit and lime. The addition of oats creates a silky, plush texture that carries the high hop saturation without harshness. This collaboration delivers a complex profile where tropical fruit and dank resin meet a clean, supportive malt base, finishing with a balanced, lingering bitterness.

Appearance. Hazy gold to light orange (SRM 7–9). Massive, persistent, creamy white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward nose. Prominent white wine and crushed gooseberry from Nelson CGX, followed by dank herbal notes and ripe strawberry from Strata. Citra adds distinct grapefruit and mango layers. Clean, grainy malt with a soft, bready oat character.

Taste. Initial burst of tropical passionfruit and lychee, evolving into white grape and resinous pine. Malt flavor is low but supportive, tasting of fresh bread and oats. Bitterness is firm and moderately high (70 IBU context) but smooth. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering citrus and dank hop aftertaste.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a creamy, velvety texture from the oats. Moderate carbonation. Subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth. No hop-derived astringency.
