This American Pale Ale presents a vibrant, hop-forward profile that belies its gluten-free status. The sensory experience is led by a punchy, resinous intensity driven by a complex dry-hop addition of Idaho 7 and Riwaka CGX. These modern varieties provide sharp citrus notes of grapefruit and exotic yuzu, while a whirlpool featuring Enigma and Centennial contributes deep layers of dank pine and floral undertones. Despite its resinous bite, the beer remains exceptionally crushable with a lean, supportive malt base that allows the high-impact hops to shine. Appearance. Pale golden (approx. 6 SRM) with a moderately large, persistent white head and good lacing; excellent clarity.
Aroma. Moderately-high hop intensity featuring sharp grapefruit, yuzu citrus, and distinctive dank pine resin. Very low neutral grainy maltiness supports the hop-forward character. Low fruity esters are present but largely overshadowed by the punchy hop profile.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward with an immediate burst of citrus and resinous flavors. Moderate to high bitterness is well-integrated against a neutral pale malt backbone. Features clean fermentation character with a medium-dry finish. Lingering aftertaste of citrus peel and pine needles with no harshness.
