Puro Bluff presents a sensory bridge between a clean American Lager and a modern hoppy Pilsner. The profile is defined by its experimental hop intensity, featuring Hallertau Blanc and Ella. On the nose, the beer offers distinct white grape, gooseberry, and subtle tropical notes over a neutral, grainy malt base. The palate is exceptionally refreshing and crisp, driven by high carbonation and a dry finish. While the base is light and unassuming, the Ella hops contribute a touch of grapefruit and spice, while the Hallertau Blanc provides a sophisticated vinous character. It is a light-bodied, highly drinkable lager that reimagines classic fermentation through a contemporary, lupulin-forward lens.
Appearance. 2–3.5 SRM. Pale straw to light yellow. Brilliant clarity with a frothy white head that exhibits moderate retention and light lacing.
Aroma. Moderate aroma intensity. Clean fermentation profile with very low grainy-sweet malt. High hop character for the style, showcasing white wine, lemongrass, and gooseberry from Hallertau Blanc, alongside light tropical and spicy notes from Ella.
Taste. Initial impression is crisp and neutral. Low grainy-sweet malt flavor is quickly eclipsed by moderate hop flavors of white grape, grapefruit, and a hint of melon. Hop bitterness is low to medium-low but more assertive than a standard lager, providing a clean, dry finish with no lingering harshness. High carbonation enhances the refreshing, thirst-quenching quality.
Mouthfeel. Light body with a very high carbonation level that provides a refreshing carbonic bite. Smooth, clean, and crisp with no alcohol warmth or astringency.
