This organic Double IPA delivers an explosive sensory profile driven by a sophisticated blend of Nectaron, Idaho 7, and Ekuanot hops. The aroma is an intense burst of ripe stone fruit and resinous pine, supported by a clean, light-colored base of Pilsen and Munich malts that provides a subtle toasted undertone without cloying sweetness. On the palate, a firm, clean bitterness balances the 9.5% ABV, leading to a remarkably dry finish for its strength. Vibrant tropical highlights and zesty citrus dominate the experience, resulting in a complex yet dangerously drinkable strong ale with a refined, modern hop character.
Appearance. Deep gold to light copper (8-10 SRM) with a slight, attractive haze. Displays a moderate-sized, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring prominent nectarine and passionfruit from Nectaron, tropical pineapple and resinous pine from Idaho 7, and a hint of lime zest from Ekuanot. Very low, clean, grainy malt in the background; fermentation is neutral with no significant esters.
Taste. Strong hop flavors of peach, mango, and spruce. The malt character is low and supportive, offering soft bready notes. Bitterness is high and firm but not harsh, facilitating a dry to medium-dry finish. The aftertaste lingers with a clean, resinous bitterness and citrus peel.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, velvety texture. Carbonation is medium-high. A noticeable but well-integrated and smooth alcohol warmth is present, consistent with its 9.5% strength.
