Citrust delivers a vibrant citrus explosion, melding fresh lime and grapefruit peels with a complex American hop profile. The aromatic intensity is driven by the resinous notes of Simcoe and the tropical depth of Mosaic, while Amarillo adds a bright floral-citrus layer. This American Pale Ale features a clean, cracker-like malt backbone that supports the punchy zest without adding weight. On the palate, the citrus acidity is balanced by a moderate bitterness that leads into a crisp, dry finish. It is a refreshing, drinkable beer where the fruit components and hop character are perfectly integrated.
Appearance. Pale golden (6 SRM); clear to brilliant; moderately large white head with good retention and fine lacing.
Aroma. High intensity; dominant fresh lime zest and grapefruit peel; supported by resinous pine from Simcoe, tropical fruit and berry notes from Mosaic, and floral orange from Amarillo. Low grainy-sweet malt character; clean fermentation profile with low esters.
Taste. Initial burst of zesty lime and bitter grapefruit; hop flavors of pine and tropical fruit follow. Low neutral malt provides a cracker-like foundation. Moderate to high bitterness that is firm but clean. Finish is dry and crisp with lingering citrus pith and resinous hop character.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body; moderate-high carbonation; smooth texture with no astringency; very light alcohol warmth.
