Pure Decadence is an opulent Imperial Stout that captures the essence of a liquid dessert while maintaining a sophisticated, roasty backbone. This collaboration between Edge Brewing and Lervig yields an intensely dark profile driven by layers of fresh espresso and bittersweet chocolate. The malt bill provides a deep complexity, weaving together notes of dark toffee and rich molasses that transition into a surprisingly soft dryness. It is a harmonious and powerful beer, where the high alcohol is masterfully integrated into a velvety, chewy texture. Every sip offers a decadent journey through charred grains and dark sugars, finishing with a lingering, warming elegance.

Appearance. Opaque jet black (40+ SRM). Thick, persistent dark tan head with excellent retention and creamy lacing. High viscosity is evident through visible legs on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity. Dominant aromas of freshly roasted coffee beans and dark cocoa. Secondary notes of blackstrap molasses, burnt caramel, and hints of dried plum. A subtle, clean alcohol warmth is present, complemented by a low earthy hop presence.

Taste. Intensely flavored with a complex blend of roasty-burnt malt, espresso, and bittersweet chocolate. Mid-palate reveals dark toffee and molasses sweetness.
