This luxurious Imperial Stout envelops the senses with a decadent tapestry of dark, spirit-laced indulgence. Intense aromas of toasted coconut and rich vanilla bean rise from a jet-black pour, immediately signaling a complex, dessert-like depth. The influence of rum-soaked oak integrates seamlessly, offering warm sugarcane molasses and woody structure that tempers the heavy, dark chocolate and espresso-like roasted malt base. On the palate, a velvety sweetness unfolds, balancing the bold charred malt bitterness with luscious waves of creamy coconut and smooth vanilla. Appearance. Opaque jet black (SRM 40) with a dense, thick, deep tan head displaying excellent retention and heavy lacing. Viscous legs are highly visible on the glass when swirled, indicating high gravity and alcohol content.
Aroma. High intensity. Prominent sweet vanilla bean and toasted coconut are layered over a robust base of dark chocolate, heavily roasted espresso beans, and black licorice. Sweet rum notes of molasses and caramelized sugar meld with woody oak tannins and subtle dark dried fruits like raisins and prunes. Alcohol warmth is noticeable but clean and well-integrated.
Taste. An intense initial impression of bittersweet cocoa, espresso, and charred grains. This roasted foundation is quickly complemented by luscious, sweet toasted coconut and smooth vanilla. Medium-high hop and roast bitterness (around 60 IBU) provides a firm backbone, preventing the sweet rum, brown sugar, and oak vanillin notes from becoming cloying. The finish is balanced-sweet to moderately dry, with a lingering aftertaste of dark chocolate, oaky rum, and smooth warmth.
Mouthfeel. Very full-bodied, chewy, and velvety with a luscious, coating texture. Carbonation is low to moderate. A prominent, smooth alcohol warmth is present and radiates gently without any hot or solventy edge. Low wood-derived astringency adds structure.

Il tutto parte da una base di mosto con 33 plato ottenuto da una birra dalla gradazione alcolica leggermente superiore agli 11 gradi alcolici. La birra base è una Imperial Stout nera, densa e profumata di caffè, liquirizia a cioccolato amaro divisa in tre tank a cui sono stati aggiunti gli ingredienti finali, fase durata oltre due mesi. Una volta inlattinate le birre sono state fatte riposare per altri tre mesi.
