This International Pale Lager offers a refreshing twist on the classic crisp profile, designed for precision food pairing. The addition of rice flakes ensures a lean, highly attenuated body that provides a clean canvas for the specialty ingredients. On the nose, the distinctive Japanese Sansyo pepper takes center stage, delivering a vibrant, fresh aroma characterized by zesty lemon and delicate floral spice. The palate follows suit, balancing a light grainy-malty sweetness from the barley malt with a punchy citrus snap. Effervescent and bone-dry, it finishes with a lingering lemony brightness and a clean, thirst-quenching snap.

Appearance. Pale straw to gold (3 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a white, frothy head that exhibits moderate retention and light lacing.

Aroma. Moderate intensity with a clean fermentation profile. Low grainy-malty sweetness is quickly overtaken by the fresh, citrusy aroma of Sansyo pepper, offering distinct notes of lemon zest and a hint of herbal spice. Very low floral hop aroma.

Taste. Initial impression is crisp and dry. Low grainy-malt and crackery flavors are supported by the use of rice flakes. Hop bitterness is medium-low, allowing the lemony and slightly peppery character of the Sansyo pepper to shine through. The finish is very dry and well-attenuated, with a clean aftertaste and a final flash of citrus.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that provides a refreshing carbonic bite. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated. Smooth, with no astringency.
