This festive American IPA delivers a bold, sensory-forward experience driven by its triple dry-hopped intensity. A vibrant medley of Citra, Ekuanot, Azacca, and Simcoe hops creates a layered profile of zesty grapefruit, tropical mango, and resinous pine. The elevated ABV provides a structural backbone, supporting a lean, grainy malt presence that lets the hops remain the centerpiece. While designed for the holidays, its character is defined by a clean fermentation and a sharp, refreshing bitterness that leads to a crisp, dry finish. It is a potent, aromatic showcase of New World hop varieties with a sophisticated, lingering lupulin bite.
Appearance. Deep gold to light reddish-amber (8–12 SRM). Topped with a medium-sized, persistent white head. Exhibits a slight hop haze from the triple dry-hopping process.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma characterized by grapefruit and lime from Citra, supported by tropical mango notes from Azacca and melon and pithy nuances from Ekuanot. Simcoe provides a grounding resinous pine and subtle earthiness. Clean, low grainy-sweet malt sits in the background.
Taste. High hop flavor mirroring the aromatic profile with layers of tropical fruit, citrus zest, and evergreen pine. Low grainy maltiness provides a neutral platform for a firm, medium-high bitterness. Finishes dry with a lingering hop character and a clean fermentation profile.
Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied with a smooth, slightly oily texture from hop oils. Moderate to high carbonation. A light, pleasant alcohol warmth is present, consistent with the 7.5% strength.
