Dutch Bargain

This Double IPA delivers a tidal wave of tropical intensity driven by a massive hop profile of Mosaic, Citra, and Galaxy. The aroma is saturated with mango, pineapple, and passion fruit, sharpened by the concentrated citrus punch of Cryo Pop and the resinous, floral backbone of Centennial. El Dorado adds a sweet melon and stone fruit layer that rounds out the high bitterness. Despite the high strength, the malt remains a clean, grainy support, allowing the vibrant hop oils to dominate. It finishes dry and crisp with a lingering citrus zest, perfectly capturing the adventurous spirit of a heavy surf session.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange (7-9 SRM). Pours with a moderate-sized, persistent white head that leaves thick lacing. Displays a characteristic haze consistent with modern tropical interpretations.

Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring dominant tropical fruit (mango, guava), stone fruit (peach), and bright citrus (grapefruit, lime). Low neutral malt sweetness provides a supportive background. Clean fermentation profile with a soft, well-integrated alcohol presence and very low fruity esters.

Taste. High hop flavor intensity mirroring the aroma with layers of crushed pineapple, tangerine, and light resin. Moderately high bitterness that is firm but smooth and never harsh. Low bready, soft malt character provides a neutral foundation. Finish is dry and clean with a long, resinous aftertaste of tropical fruit and pine.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, rounded texture. Moderate carbonation. Noticeable but smooth alcohol warmth that is well-integrated without being solventy. Lacks any hop-derived astringency.
