Captain Closeout is a vibrant Hazy IPA that captures the intense energy of the Dutch coast with a high-density charge of innovative hop products. It pours an opaque, glowing straw hue with a dense, meringue-like white head. The aroma is a tropical explosion of ripe mango, passion fruit, and bright citrus zest, supported by a clean, bready malt backbone. On the palate, it delivers a massive, juicy hop punch with lush stone fruit flavors and a soft, pillowy texture. Despite its 7.4% ABV, the bitterness remains smooth and restrained, leading to a plush, off-dry finish that invites another sip.
Appearance. Straw to deep gold (3-6 SRM). Opaque haze with a luminous quality. Thick, rocky, white head with excellent retention and significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring saturated notes of mango, pineapple, and citrus zest. Low bready and grainy malt character in the background. Clean fermentation with subtle fruity esters.
Taste. Massive fruity hop flavor with tropical and stone fruit dominance. Low to medium-high bitterness that is perceived as soft rather than sharp. Low grainy malt flavor. Off-dry, smooth finish with a lingering juicy aftertaste.
