Duration Brewing’s Slurp! reimagines the classic Belgian Single as a highly sessionable table beer. This bright, gold-hued ale bursts with zesty citrus and lush peach notes, bridging the gap between a modern Table Pale and a traditional monastic beer. The aroma is dominated by expressive Belgian yeast, offering peppery spice alongside a soft, bready malt foundation. On the palate, a crisp, cracker-like malt profile provides a platform for vibrant stone fruit and spicy floral hops. Effervescent and exceptionally dry, it finishes with a firm, clean bitterness that makes it an effortlessly refreshing festival companion for the countryside.
Appearance. Pale yellow to light gold (3-4 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a tall, billowy white head that exhibits excellent persistence and delicate lacing.
Aroma. Moderate intensity featuring bright zesty lemon and orange peel aromas mingled with distinct peach and apricot esters. Subtle spicy phenols reminiscent of white pepper are supported by a low, crackery, and grainy-sweet malt backdrop.
Taste. Initial impressions of honeyed biscuit and light bready malt are quickly overtaken by spicy, floral hop flavors and zesty citrus. The fermentation character adds layers of peach and light clove. It is highly attenuated with a very dry, crisp finish and a lingering, clean hop bitterness.
