Tango in Jerez is a sophisticated Belgian Tripel elevated by extensive aging in Sherry barrels. The influence of Oloroso Sherry flora introduces a complex oxidative layer, intertwining with the traditional yeast-driven spice of the base beer. Vibrant sensory cues of candied lemons and bright citrus zest dance alongside deep, toasted nutty notes. Despite its 9% ABV, the beer maintains the classic Belgian Tripel profile—dry, effervescent, and remarkably drinkable. The marriage of peppery phenols and the rich, vinous character of the barrels creates a multi-dimensional experience, finishing with a lingering, elegant dryness and a whisper of almond and citrus peel.
Appearance. Deep gold to pale amber with a slight copper hue from barrel aging; brilliant clarity and a long-lasting, creamy, rocky white head that leaves significant lacing.
Aroma. High intensity with complex Oloroso Sherry notes; prominent aromas of toasted nuts, candied lemons, and citrus zest. Supportive spicy, peppery phenols and moderate fruity esters are balanced by a light, honey-like malt presence and a soft, spicy alcohol note.
Taste. Initial impression of rounded, grainy-sweet malt quickly yields to intense flavors of citrus zest and candied lemon. Complex nutty and oxidative Sherry character provides depth.
